Ahead of that, let’s take a look at what the film is about and what the cast is charging for their roles.
What does the trailer for Drishyam 3 suggest the film is about?
The trailer for Drishyam 3 was released on May 9, 2026, hinting at a high-stakes thriller. The first two parts of the film had left the fans with their jaws dropped, raising the expectations for the third part through the roof. Talking about Mohanlal’s film’s trailer, it begins with ‘George Kutty’ sitting at the dinner table alongside his wife and daughters. The trio is having a conversation about their past involving the haunting events of October 2. They reflect on the incident where they had been involved with the police and framed for murder. However, this time they feel that they have finally left the past behind. Now, accepted in society, ‘Rani’ and ‘Anju’ are convinced that the horrors of their past are over. However, ‘George’ is not sure.

However, without explicitly explaining what sets a series of investigative forces on ‘George Kutty’ and his family, the trailer for Drishyam 3 tells the viewer that this time, the man must be cautious at all times, careful not to take a single wrong step. At one point, ‘George’ says he worries that even his family sees him as a criminal. However, he is unsure what to do next, setting the stage for the upcoming thriller. The film will be released on May 21, 2026, on the birthday of the National Award-winning actor, Mohanlal.

What is the cast fee of Drishyam 3?
While the excitement around Drishyam 3 has been at an all-time high ever since the film was announced, fans have also been curious about what the stars will be charging for the film. While the official numbers have not been disclosed, a May 2025 report by the Deccan Chronicle states that Mohanlal reportedly charges around Rs. 20 crore for big-ticket films. However, he also recieves overseas rights in the Gulf region for some projects. A leading producer told the outlet that Mohanlal “charges around Rs. 5-6 crore for mid-scale films like Drishyam.” However, seeing the love and success the sequel has received, Mohanlal might have increased his charges for part three.

Meena, on the other hand, is alleged to charge Rs. 75 lakh for her role as ‘George’s’ wife, ‘Rani’. However, this has not been confirmed. Asha Sharath, who will reprise her role as ‘Anju’, is said to have allegedly charged Rs. 1 crore for the role. Siddique will allegedly charge Rs. 60 for the film, while Esther Anil is alleged to take home Rs. 25 lakh for her role as ‘Anu’. Nonetheless, none of these prices have been confirmed.
