By Yashasvi Jaiswal will deputize for Riyan Parag as Rajasthan Royals captain in its IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 9.
Jaiswal revealed at the toss that Parag has suffered a hamstring injury, which is what resulted in the 24-year-old missing out today.
This is the first time Jaiswal, who has played all his IPL matches for Rajasthan Royals, has captained in an IPL match.

Parag had walked off the field during the second innings in RR’s last game against DC with suspected hamstring cramps, and it was Jaiswal who took over as captain in his place for the remainder of the match.
